A rainy New Years Day

Happy New Years everyone. Make 2010 a great year :)

It is raining once again here, which is nothing new. We didn't get any snow this year, which made Winter Break quite boring. It's a good thing I enjoy the rain, or else I wouldn't be able to live here.

This picture was taken from inside my moms car, and it's rain-drops on the windshield.

One of my favorite songs is titled "White Lines and Red Lights," so I decided to take a picture of Red Lights. It turned out very nice, considering I was sitting in the car shooting through a dirty window :)

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

With 2009 coming to an end, I'm ready to get into 2010. (Rhyme?!) I need to start thinking of some New Years Resolutions, starting with taking more pictures.

I said in my last post I would do more than one blog update a week, and that didn't happen this week. I will for sure write more now that the Holidays are almost over.

For Christmas, I went to my Grandma's for a party with the family. It was great to see everyone again, and enjoy all the laughs. I received a tripod as a gift from my family, and I took it to the party to get a family-photo. Christmas is my favorite holiday, and I am looking forward to another fast year.

While watching the adults do a gift-game, my aunt opened up this present. She set down the jar of Pickles and Sour Craut, and was looking at the jar of Chili Sauce. I took the opportunity to snap this shot, pleased with how well it turned out- and the bow added a nice, finishing touch :)

Tomorrow I will post my weekly photo. It's going to be hard to choose my favorite from the week, but I will find one :)

The 52 Project

Winter is my favorite season... so where's the snow?!

I decided to start the 52 weeks photography "project." I can only hold 200 pictures on my Flickr account, so the 365 project is out. (I want to post all pictures on here on my Flickr) Every week, I will post a picture that says 1/52, etc. with the date. I will have more blog posts, so it's not just one blog a week.

My first picture to start off this 52 project, is a picture of our dog, Max. He has been with us for 1 year, and he is definitely a member of the family. (Hmm. Maybe I should have started this LAST year...) This is by far my favorite shot of him. Even though it's not showing his crazy, wild side, it shows the great dog we all know he is.. sometimes. :)

A new beginning to the blogging world!

I've never written a blog before, so bare with me! I started this blog to share my photos with you, and searchers here. I hope this blog will be more helpful and enjoyable to you as it is for me.

With each blog entry, I will post a picture and my reason for taking it. I'm thinking of starting the 365 Project. Check back in here to learn more about it.

With the Holidays creeping around the corners, I decided to take shots of the lights outside, and the Santa in front of the house. I hope everyone has a great Holiday Season!
